Although this week visiting family and relaxing has been so nice, I am so excited to get back into the classroom with these hard-working students to finish out this nine weeks.
A few reminders: *Field trip on Monday to the Booth Western Museum *Please be sure to try and send in any notes regarding absences! Look at what we are learning this week: Math: The students will be working on area projects this week using different sized boxes. We will be constructing buildings and finding the area of them, ultimately creating our own area town. Later in this week/next week, we will begin comparing and contrasting our own point of view on a topic versus the author's point of view on a topic. Writing: Students will be starting a final informational piece this week. They will be doing research on a topic, and using all they know about informational writing to go through the writing process in class.
